อีแอลโอ (ELO) หรือ อีเล็กทริก ไลต์ ออเครสตรา (Electric Light Orchestra)

หนึ่งในวงดนตรีร็อกแห่งห้วงทศวรรษที่ 70 ของประเทศอังกฤษ ที่หลายคน

วิจารณ์ว่าพวกเขาคือเงาร่างของ The Beatles ด้วยเพราะสไตล์เพลง จังหวะ

ดนตรี แต่สิ่งที่ ELO ต่างไปก็คือ การนำเอาเครื่องดนตรีอย่าง  เชลโล และ

ไวโอลิน รวมถึงเครื่องเป่า มาผสมผสานให้เข้ากันกับเครื่องดนตรีไฟฟ้า อย่าง

กลอง เบส และ กีตาร์   ความพิเศษนี้ก็คือที่มาของชื่อวงนั่นเอง

   Jeff Lynne ผู้ก่อตั้งและเพื่อนร่วมวงของเขาสามารถทำให้ ELO  ก้าวเดินบน

ถนนดนตรีและทะยานสู่ความสำเร็จในโลกแห่งเสียงเพลง ด้วยงานเพลงอย่าง

Last Train To London, Can't Get It Out Of My Head, Mr. Blue Sky  

และ Turn To Stone ซึ่งล้วนแต่เป็นเพลงที่ฮิตติดหูคนฟังทั้งสิ้น

   และเมื่อปลายปี 2007 ที่ผ่านมา Sony BMG ได้ออกอัลบั้ม The Very Best of

Electric Light Orchestra Volume 2   เป็นอัลบั้มรวมเพลงยอดนิยมชุดที่ 2

ซึ่งรวบรวมบทเพลงสุดประทับใจของ อีแอลโอ  ช่วงหลังปี 1973 กลับมาให้

แฟนเพลงได้ฟังกันอีกครั้ง

   แต่แปลกที่เรากลับชอบเพลง Midnight Blue มากกว่า แม้จะไม่ค่อยฮิต

สักเท่าไร  Midnight Blue อยู่ในอัลบั้ม Discovery งานเพลงในปี 1979 ของ

Electric Light Orchestra  ชอบเนื้อร้อง ที่มีความรักอันงดงาม  มีสายตาที่

มองเห็นกันของคู่รัก ภายใต้เมโลดี้ที่หม่นเศร้าแห่งราตรีกาล

บางคืนที่ฟ้ามืดและหม่นเศร้า… เราอาจมองไม่เห็นดาวบนท้องฟ้า

แต่ก็ไม่ใช่ว่า... คืนนี้จะปราศจากดวงดาว
